Meet Jonathan & Katie Meadows
My wife Katie and I left the city over three years ago to pursue our dreams of becoming more self-sufficient and landed with our three dogs in the country on 10 acres of land. Our goal was to start our own farm to try and become more self-sufficient.
Since our adventure began our homestead has expanded to include ducks, chickens, rabbits, a variety of garden beds, and is ever expanding.
After spending years educating ourselves in what it truly meant to be more self sufficient we decided to take the dive and started Meadows Farm & Forestry in 2020. Since becoming self employed we have spent the last several years in not only helping people in Middle Tennessee obtain their own goals of living more independently but have also been able to provide in depth education through our own experiences with our farm.
Meet the Staff
Braven, AKA Bravender Walker, is the muscle here at MFF. Braven is a an excellent driving companion and accompanies us to almost every job estimate as a means of “extra security”, and keeps me awake on long drives with licks and his comical behavior.
Katana is our feisty, senior dog on the homestead. She may be small in stature and missing an eye, but that does not stop her from keeping our boys in line. When Katana is not being rambunctious, she prefers to spend her time relaxing and sun bathing.
Grimm is the brains around here. He is astute, alert and always by our sides. He has a ferocious appetite and likes to trick us into thinking he has not been fed. While Grimm is sweet and loving, he has an absolute zero squirrel policy on the property.
